Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

BBQ dishes such as grilled fish, steak, or chicken are popular favorites at restaurants. But you don’t need to dine out to enjoy great barbecue flavor — this homemade BBQ sauce is easy to make and packed with taste.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chicken or beef stock
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (Lea & Perrins)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato sauce and mix well.
- Add chicken or beef stock to thin the sauce if it’s too thick.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, then season with salt and black pepper.
- Simmer for a few minutes until fragrant and well combined. Remove from heat.
Tips & Variations
- For a smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke.
- For a sweeter sauce, stir in 1 tablespoon of honey or brown sugar.
- Store leftover sauce in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
