How to Install a 3 Phase Electrical Panel (Kwh Meter)- Installation of the 3 Phase Kwh Electrical Panel App - The development of the Electric world has grown rapidly in today's era, the attachment of advanced technology to human life is increasingly difficult to separate, so that human needs for Electrical Energy continue to increase. On this occasion I will try to explain "How to Install Panels and 3 Phase Electric Kwh" maybe there are other electricians who want to try to learn 3 phase electrical installation and how to install 3 phase kwh panels.

In a 3 phase electrical system there is the term rstn, for those of you who don't understand the meaning of rstn in a three-phase electrical system, you can learn about it in my previous article RSTN on a 3 phase electricity meter (Kwh 3 phase) while I will continue the discussion about 3 phase electrical panel circuits. . To save time, just look at the 3 phase electrical panel diagram image that I have provided below.

The 3 phase electrical panel components that must be prepared before assembling the 3 phase electrical panel are as follows:

  • One Unit Three Phase Electrical Panel
  • One unit of three phase MCB and single phase MCB
  • Five Rods of Conductor Plate
  • A set of Modem For Kwh Reader (Electricity Meter)
  • 16 mm Cable Red, Yellow, Black and Blue as needed
  • Also provide cable shoes according to the size of the cable used.

If the material for the 3 phase electrical panel component is complete, the next step is to assemble the 3 phase electrical panel. If you are a PLN electricity contractor, three-phase electrical panels are available and have neatly arranged the layout of the conductor plate and other three-phase electrical panel components, all you have to do is install the 3 phase electrical panel circuit cable, some cable shoes and bolts of course.

Instructions for Installing 3 Phase Electrical Panels

PLN's 4x16 mm SR cable has a special feature or code as a determinant of RST and N. When touched with a finger, the SR cable has fins or fine lines along the cable. SR cable with one line is R, SR cable with two fins / lines on the cable skin is S, SR cable with three lines is T and N is marked with plain SR cable without any lines on the cable skin.

  • Attach the cable shoes to the four ends of the SR cable and screw it to each of the Conductor Plates on the 3 phase Electrical Panel.

  • Also attach the RSTN cable from the conductor plate as a three-phase electric current input to the stand meter or electricity meter.

  • The number one hole on the 3 phase kwh is the R cable input and the second hole is the R cable output, Hole 3 S cable input and 4 S cable output. And so on until the N cable (Neutral) if you are confused I will use another language "Hole Odd is Input (Incoming Current) and Even Hole is Output (Outflow).Look at the example of the 3 phase electrical panel diagram above and follow it according to the picture.

  • The RST output cable from kwh is connected to the 3 Phase MCB before finally being applied to the building installation/electrical panel in the building.

  • Output N (Neutral) is connected to the Conductor Plate before being connected to the panels in the building.

  • The conductor plate itself functions as a safe conductor of electric current and is resistant to heat.

  • Finally, attach the 3 phase kwh modem according to the picture instructions listed on the modem wrapping box. Different types of modems usually also have different ways of connecting. The kwh modem circuit above is just an example. The modem itself functions as a reader and sender of kwh performance data to the PLN office.
